Brandon Miranda

Brandon Miranda is a Los Angeles based producer and beat maker, and Soundfly’s newest mentor. If you don’t consider remixing a fine art form like that of painting or sculpture, you haven’t heard Brandon’s project, ALX B. With experience in all aspects of music-making and audio production including mixing, mastering, producing, songwriting, and music theory, Brandon’s strong suit is flipping a remix into something truly exciting. He trained under songwriter Lovy Longomba, was an assistant engineer for OWSLA, and has credits with artists signed to Warner and Konvict Muzik.

Ian Barnett

Ian Barnett is a drummer, producer, and DJ living in Brooklyn. He is the official drummer for pop artist Betty Who and hip-hop artist Marlon Craft and performs frequently in NYC with a wide variety of musical acts including his solo project, Mallow. Ian has performed on tours opening for artists like Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue, Keisza, and Dizzy Wright. He has many television credits such as Late Late Night with James Corden, The Today Show, The View, MTV’s New Now Next Awards, and New Years Eve in Times Square.

Jamie Billings

Jamie Billings is a passionate sound designer, composer, and music technologist with enormously diverse experience based in Boston. Jamie has created sound design for video games, played keys live for Kiran Gandhi (M.I.A.’s drummer) on her world tour, worked as an audio designer at the MIT Game Lab, led workshops on DAWs, recording, and post production at NYU, acted as a studio support specialist at Berklee College of Music, worked with AKAI to create hardware, and created soundscapes for slot machine games in Reno. Her solo project of lo-fi trip-hop is called The Unicorn Princess.

Keturah Brown

Keturah Brown is a Memphis-based songwriter, producer, and music marketing whiz with an MA in music marketing from Berklee College of Music (in Valencia, Spain). She has a passion for branding strategies, and studied with some fantastic mentors, including Yvette Noel-Schure (Beyonce, Prince), Brian Message (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Radiohead), and Imogen Heap. As a songwriter and neo-soul artist, she has written and performed original works around the world, and one of her tracks was recently included in iHeartRadio’s Newbie Hall of Fame four weeks in a row. Her solo project is called KadyRoxz.

Sam Friedman

Sam Friedman is a Brooklyn-based producer, composer, and sound design artist, who releases music under the monikers Nerve Leak and Past Palms. Sam’s work has been featured on popular Spotify playlists and praised by major publications like The Fader, Bullett Magazine, XLR8R, Earmilk, and NEST HQ. He has worked extensively with various music licensing and sync houses, composing and remixing for the likes of Taco Bell and several other national brands and labels. Sam’s experience with various genres like jazz, indie, trap, rock, EDM, etc., gives him a unique perspective to help students from diverse backgrounds.
