Today, we’re launching a brand-new, free course with one of our absolute favorite guitarists on the planet (we are not alone), Kaki King, and no, it’s not a course in guitar shreddery. In this course, Digital Pedalboards with Kaki King, we take a deep dive into how and why she uses the Apple MainStage 3 digital pedalboard, a MIDI foot controller, and expression pedal on the world tour circuit, and how you can lighten your load and streamline your live-processing setup for your next tour.
So often, guitarists who rely on pedals to provide them with expansive, performance-ready worlds of sound find themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to streamlining their approach. Who is this course for?
This course is for tech-minded guitarists who might be interested in ditching their 99-piece pedalboard for a sleeker, more versatile setup. Kaki King is one of the world’s most renowned guitarists, and she takes you through her pedal setup so that you can come up with your own.
You don’t need to have a copy of Apple MainStage 3 to take this course, but it will certainly help.
What will I get out of it?
You’ll learn how Kaki creates a myriad of guitar effects using only Apple MainStage software, an audio interface, and two pedals. We’ll also walk you through how to set up your own Apple MainStage set so you can get started from scratch.
